Lydia Kenny LRSM BASc MPerf CRD
Lydia Kenny is a London-based saxophonist specialising in contemporary and experimental music.
She works closely with composers to develop and premiere new works, with a focus on technically demanding and collaborative performance including extended techniques, complex notation, and improvisation.
Lydia has worked with composers and collaborators across Europe including Olivia Bell, Alex Groves, John Harle, John Kenny, Mared Pugh-Evans, Etienne Rollin, Gregory Rose, Malcolm Singer, Toby Young and Efe Yuksel.
Alongside performing, Lydia also creates interdisciplinary performance projects that combine music, text, and theatre including BEAT, a song cycle developed with Olivia Bell and FABLES (vol.1) co-written with Toby Young.
Lydia graduated the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with MPerf Distinction and Concert Recital Diploma under the mentorship of John Harle. She is based in London and is available for contemporary ensemble work, recording, and new music projects.
