Lydia Kenny
Lydia is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist actor-musician. Lydia is studying on the Guildhall Artist Masters Programme with John Harle at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, generously supported by the Guildhall Trust.
Lydia is a founding member of the Bauhaus Saxophone Quartet and plays with the Bauhaus Saxophones (6 saxophones, piano, bass, drums) and the Bauhaus Band (16 piece band), led by John Harle.
Lydia is particularly interested in cross-arts interdisciplinary work, including dance, poetry, theatre, stage combat and visual arts. Lydia is also a keen advocate of community-based and social arts.
Lydia was a mentee with the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) 2021–2022, mentored by Dr Holly De Caigny. Read about Lydia's experience at NASA in the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain Journal, September 2022
Lydia gained a first-class BASc degree in Arts and Sciences at University College London (UCL) in 2022, specialising in Activating Climate Action Through Music with supervisor Dr Kat Austen.
